We wasted time discussing NRO

It was 2008. I was In Lakki Marwat. 28 people of SWA peace committee were killed just a day before. Army medium guns were deployd in Lakki Marwat. AT night gun positions came under rocket fire. They would normally miss target and i was worried for getting hit, due to proximity. So deep was the penetration of Taliban. Jani Khel was full of Uzbekas and Tajiks. Lakki was under semi control of Taliban. Village Shah Hassan Khel had training camp. No one dare go there. It made news on New Year eve of 2010. 107 people lost their lives in a suicide bombing. That was just 20 kms from Punjab. At night when i switched on tv every electronic channel was busy discussing NRO. Oblivious of the looming threat. I called Bolta Pakistan. Glad that today every one is worried about terrorism. Its late though. Will have to fight it in every city. Army did a good job. Pushed them back. Had been Pakistan been awake this monster could not have become so strong.
